Apex & transaction roles
Who you are dealing with, and how the desk works.
APEX VAULT is an independent UK luxury watch brokerage and dealer. It helps private buyers, collectors and sellers source, sell and understand pre-owned timepieces through personal guidance rather than a public shop.
APEX VAULT does not operate a public inventory or an online checkout. Every enquiry is reviewed personally, and the right route is discussed with you before anything progresses.
Private individuals in the UK: buyers, collectors, first-time buyers, private sellers and anyone simply wanting advice. APEX VAULT is not a wholesale or trade portal.
No. APEX VAULT does not operate a public store, catalogue or marketplace. Watches are sourced privately against a requirement, which is why availability varies according to reference, condition, provenance, documentation and market availability.
Your enquiry is given a reference beginning AV-, reviewed personally, and followed up directly to discuss the requirement, the likely route and the sensible next step.
02
Buying
Sourcing a specific reference, or a watch described in your own words.
Yes. Give the reference if you know it, or describe the watch and APEX VAULT will identify suitable references. Difficult requirements are described honestly rather than substituted with something close.
That is a normal starting point. Choose the advice route on the enquiry form and APEX VAULT will talk through options, references and price context before anything is sourced.
How the watch will be worn, any preferred references or production periods, and whether box and papers matter are useful. The written buying brief requires a desired watch and approximate budget; if you prefer to start by telephone, those points can be discussed directly.
03
Selling
Releasing a watch privately, without a public listing.
Make a private seller enquiry with a few details. Ownership and documentation may be reviewed, no automated valuation is produced, and any offer is subject to review and separate written terms.
Depending on the watch and the circumstances, APEX VAULT may purchase directly, or may facilitate a transaction with a third-party owner or buyer through a disclosed brokerage or intermediary arrangement. The route is discussed with you, and the contracting parties and any fees are confirmed before anything proceeds.
Box, papers and service records are helpful where you hold them, but they are not required to enquire. Serial numbers, purchase documents and detailed service history are only requested later, if the conversation reaches the point where they genuinely matter.

04
Assessment & inspection
What is examined, and what an examination can and cannot establish.
Every watch is considered by a person, not scored by software. APEX VAULT does not operate an automated valuation service. Reference, condition, documentation, provenance, market context, availability and your own requirements are all weighed together.
Where appropriate and agreed for the specific transaction, a watch can be examined by a suitably qualified independent watchmaker before completion. It is arranged case by case, not promised universally.
05
Payment & escrow
How money moves, and who holds it while it does.
Where appropriate and confirmed for the specific transaction, APEX VAULT can arrange an Escrow.com transaction so funds are held by the independent escrow provider and released in line with the agreed terms. APEX VAULT does not accept physical cash. Payment arrangements are agreed in advance and may include bank transfer or independent escrow.
No. APEX VAULT is not an escrow provider and does not hold buyer funds for third-party purchases. Where escrow is used, funds are held by the independent escrow provider and released in accordance with the agreed transaction terms.
APEX VAULT may receive remuneration from one or both parties in a transaction. Any such remuneration, and who pays it, is disclosed and agreed in writing before the transaction proceeds.
06
Delivery & afterwards
Getting the watch to you, and what applies once it arrives.
Delivery arrangements are agreed for each acquisition. Insured delivery may be arranged where suitable cover is available and confirmed for the specific watch, value, route and carrier.
Cancellation, returns and remedies depend on the transaction type, contracting seller, method of purchase and applicable law. The relevant terms are provided before a purchase is completed. Nothing here limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Any warranty, guarantee or service commitment is identified in the applicable transaction terms. Manufacturer warranties, seller warranties and APEX VAULT commitments are separate and must not be treated as interchangeable.
