Buying a significant watch should feel considered rather than transactional. The brief is defined, the search runs privately, the watch is examined and described as found, and the terms are fixed in writing.

A requirement becoming a watch
Each step removes a question before it becomes a risk. As you read down, the record beside it fills in and the plate resolves: that is the whole difference between an idea and an acquisition.

02Independent inspection
A second pair of eyes, where it is warranted.
For higher-value or unusually complex purchases, the watch can be examined by a suitably qualified, independent watchmaker before the transaction completes. It is arranged where appropriate and agreed for that specific transaction — it is not automatic, and it is not a service APEX VAULT performs on its own authority.

The written buying brief asks for an approximate budget because it helps narrow the search. If you prefer to start by telephone, it can be discussed directly instead.
It depends entirely on the reference, configuration and condition sought. APEX VAULT will give an honest view of likely availability rather than a fixed timescale.
Where appropriate and agreed, a watch can be examined by a suitably qualified independent watchmaker before completion. This is arranged case by case, not promised universally.
Some watches are acquired directly by APEX VAULT, while others are sourced from, or sold on behalf of, third-party owners. The arrangement, the contracting parties, any fees and the relevant terms are explained before you commit.
Where appropriate and confirmed for the specific transaction, APEX VAULT can arrange an Escrow.com transaction so funds are held by the independent escrow provider and released in line with the agreed terms. APEX VAULT does not accept physical cash. Payment arrangements are agreed in advance and may include bank transfer or independent escrow.
